I have to say…certainly in my lifetime…that I have never witnessed anything quite so globally historic.
The level of expectation is high…
Let’s all hope he can deliver…
Often before, here in the UK, such events as today’s are regarded with curiosity more than anything.
Not this time.

Barack Obama’s election was a historic event internationally. The whole world was watching and hoping.
I am in Canada and I can tell you that everyday I am still excited that a man with such intelligence, grace and integrity is the President of the United States. He brings hope for a better world. And yes, the road ahead for him is a very, very difficult one, but even in this short time he has proven that he faces challenges head on with strength, determination and integrity. Did I say integrity again? Must be on my mind.
Can we have him?
Let’s hope so Kayla… sadly he’s been handed a bit of a poisoned chalice…
