Affiliate Niche Club New Video – Slick or Dick?
Opinions please!!
I’ve found a ‘magic’ trick! Hey, I know, I know… I don’t like those, right? But I really want your opinion on this.
See, Thad ain’t so sure… normally we are telepathically connected… spooky, I know!
But I was approached with a gizmo thing. Now, normally I’d run a mile BUT I’m a very visual person. So, this one sucked me right in from the off!
Ain’t gonna tell you any more about the ‘gizmo’ just yet but I do want your opinion on what it can do.
Here’s a taster…this took 20 minutes to do…

Bottom line… should we add that to our ANC sales page?.. would you add something like that to yours or would you think it would work to do your own product reviews?..

Could be great for product reviews as long as there is an option to get the information without watching a video. When I see a page where video is the only option (including launches) I usually click away immediately. Video takes much longer to watch than the same info takes to read.
You provide a great service, and I am definitely a fan. This promo, however, does not do you justice. All the relevant facts are there, but, in my view, poorly presented. The main narration sounds tired and uninspired. There is a lot of text on the screen which I think will look like noise to the casual visitor. The sound in the testimonial section at the end is not mixed properly, and can barely be heard. When I struggled to actually get what was said, and discovered it was a computer reading the emails, that was a turn off. Either have the people read their own testimonials (best… surely PPG would do that for you, no?), or read it with an upbeat tone yourself. I realize this sounds all negative, but truly, it is meant to help you produce a better product. Hope so…. you offer great value and a great product which could help a lot of people.
Hey no, this is exactly the kind of feedback we want. The Gizmo produces robot voices and they are pretty awful. LOL! (try sticking an apostrophe in there!)
I have no control over the volume of the voices vis a vis the soundtrack either. You can of course not have a soundtrack at all.
As to me sounding ‘up-beat’, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I am permanently up-beat but I just sound like that on videos. I just can’t do it any other way. Believe me I’ve tried!
Let’s see what other feedback we get… I’ve got other examples I may pop-up… but either way, as long as I’m recording the voice they will sound like that. It’s the accent.
Maybe we should have got Thad to have a go.

Definately Dick…………… had I listened to that promo before joining I would not have joined, OK I would but because I know you both from WA. Guys at least one of you is a geek, surely you can do something better than that nasal voice, it was awful. The accent was truly terrible, it sounded as though you wanted to bore your customers to death. Sorry to shoot the messemger just my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the idea of having a video on the sales page, but that one was pretty boring. Too long, couldn’t here testimonials, I agree with much of what has been said.
And the verdict is…DICK…LOL.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. At first glance that thing seemed like it might be kind of useful for spicing up product reviews and such on affiliate sites, but seems a bit lame all the way around.

LOL! Dick it is then. Must do better… and we will… but I’m not quite sure we’ll be able to match that one Thad’s just put up!!!

Saw the movie and it was the best Star Trek movie to date.
