The most important part of any campaign is your niche research.The more time and effort you spend on that the easier it will be for you to do everything in your campaign.

You should endeavour to create a niche report, exactly like the ones we provide you with in ANC. (Obviously you can use those to short-cut this step.)

Your Niche Report should, as a minimum contain the following:-

Background – An overview of the niche in question. Have at look at Google Insights and Trends. See how the niche is growing, when the peaks are during the year. Have a general look around related sites and forums and try and get a sense of what’s happening right now.

Jot down three of four paragraphs of general information, take screen shots, of any trend charts you come across, etc.

Marketing – Jot down your thoughts on how to tackle this niche. Think about who makes up the niche and how you are going to reach them. Article marketing can always be used but what about PPC and e-mail marketing.

What demographic is your target market? Will you be trying to target specific locations? It’s very important to to determine the who and where they go for solutions.

Affiliate Sites – Make a list of affiliate sites in the niche and what they are doing. Don’t spend too long on other affiliate sites. You may be intimidated by there size or their ‘fancy’ website. Just note what they are promoting and how. Are they collecting opt-ins, etc.

Merchants – Make a list of merchants in the niche. Make this as broad as you can at this stage, even if you do not intend to promote a particular product there may be cross selling opportunities further down the line.

Keyword Themes – Make several lists of keywords under broad theme headings. The more work you put into this now, the more benefit you will receive throughout your campaign. Remember, everything you do, articles, blog posts, pages, PPC and ultimately SEO are based around targeting keyword phrases.

You can use the free Google Keyword tool or you can invest in Micro Niche Finder as we have or try some other keyword generation tool.

Now, you will know I have two particular obsessions, right? Dr. Who and ladies (not in that order)… well this month’s report is all about going back…(AND I get an excuse to put up a risqué pic – there is really no excuse for it but that’s just the way I’m wired up, OK?)

But this particular niche is very much ‘back to the PRESENT’!

This particular niche is not only huge and stable but it’s RED HOT right now. You WILL know someone who’s desperate for information on this right now!

And for added spice this month, this particular niche is tailor made for CPA (Cost per Action) Marketing. You get paid just for someone filling in a simple form on a website.

Yep, they don’t even have to buy anything… just fill a form in. Sweet!

I was reminded of it by Travis (Mr BumMarketingMethod) over at the Wealthy Affiliate forum yesterday.

It’s called KwMaps and you can access it here. (No need to sign up or anything)

You pop a keyword phrase in and it gives you a map of related topics. Always useful to look for different angles or when you are expanding your campaigns. Here’s a screen shot:-

The closer you are to the center the more relevant you are...

And you get a list of keywords:-

And a whole list of relevant websites to look at…

Just helps you get a broader picture… so, check it out.

It’s called CashKeywords and you install it as a toolbar… errr obviously.

And what it does is help you organise your niche research with various options. So, you can kinda get at everything quickly and easily from one spot. Here’s a screen shot:-

So, what does it do?

Briefly, you pop a keyword into the search box and then click on the various icons which then give you information on the following:-

• Keyword Phrases
• Affiliate Offers
• Trends
• Demographics
• News
• Articles
• Other Cool Stuff

It’s a little fiddly at first and you have to have accounts for certain places but I think it’s a pretty good ‘one stop shop’ for your niche research.

Best thing to do is grab the download for the CashKeywords Toolbar here and then make sure you watch the short videos that come with it. Remember, it’s totally FREE!

Even if you haven’t, don’t sweat it, and there are no real major changes at all… more changes in the way we as marketers should be using it.

In a nutshell most people (and there are 175,000,000 of them) use Facebook to communicate with their friends, family, work friends, etc. And that’s what you should do… on your personal account.

If you want to use it for marketing set up a seperate page or group for that. But which one…

Well a group is more like a forum, so Thad and I could set up one for Affiliate Marketing but we’re not gonna do that.

Instead we are gonna set up a page (in fact Thad set it up month’s ago) for the AffiliateNicheClub.

We’re then gonna invite you to become ‘fans’. LOL! I know I hate the terminology but that’s what they use.

I’ll post up the link to our new Fan Club as soon as Thad reminds me of the log-in details.

I’ll apologise here and now for using my personal account for marketing to my Facebook friends in the past.
